Lagochilus (Turkestan Mint) is an ugly, stemy plant that grows sharpened bell-shaped dirty yellow flowers. The leaves are uniquely crest-like and limited to usually only 2 per flower.

Turkestan Mint has been used for a large variety of medicinal purposes including antihemorrhagic and hemostatic properties, aids in blood coagulation, treating allergies and skin problems. It has also been widely regarded for its sedative properties. Turkestan, Tajik, Tatar, Turkoman and Uzbek tribes create a tea from the heated leaves to make a strongly intoxicating beverage.
