Location: Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, Africa, and Other Places

Common Reed can be found growing almost all over the world. It is a durable, rough-growing weed that is able to grow in a variety of environments. They grow quite tall, reaching heights of up to 10 feet tall. The leaves are rough with sharp edges and can measure up to 20 inches long. Usually, many darker purple flowers crown the top of the plant in late summer months, though the seeds may mature in wintertime, where the plants are still standing.

Despite achieving a number of agricultural values, Common Reed has been known to contain a ton of DMT. The rootstalk is where all the DMT and 5-MeO-DMT is found. Additionally, the rootstalk contains bufotenine and gramine. An Ayahuasca analog can be made from the roots and a couple other ingredients.
