Fly Agaric Mushrooms

Amanita L

identifying fly agaric hallucinogenic mushrooms

Aka Amanita Muscaria

Location: Africa, Asia, Europe, North & South Americas

The Amanita Muscaria mushroom is often called pretty, probably due to the patterned white warts found spanning across the blood-colored red cap (located all over the world basically). There are two other, lesser common varieties of the mushrooms available as well. The first has a yellow/orange type color cap and the warts are white still (eastern and central North America). The second is purely white and only found in Idaho.

It has been suggested by several sources that the Fly Agaric is the world’s oldest hallucinogen. It is also commonly associated with Soma, a hallucinogenic drug of ancient India.
