The long history of mankind has provided folklore of powerful aphrodisiacs…plants which have given men and women strong sexual urges, immense sexual appetites and amazing sexual performance enhancements.  There are numerous aphrodisiacs which have been used in rituals or ceremonies within many tribes all around the globe.  Some plants are natural aphrodisiacs simply by consuming them…while others require being smoked. Voacanga (of the Dogbane Family)

Voacanga is considered a truly sacred plant throughout Africa and shaman of many tribes hold the secrets close.  Still, it is known the bark of this evergreen shrub has been used as a powerful aphrodisiac.

Datura (Datura metel)

Datura has been used for thousands of years and makes appearances throughout ancient writings of many cultures (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Arabian cultures, Chinese cultures and all types of Old World presence). It is most used for its properties as an aphrodisiac in the East Indies.

Cowhage (Mucuna pruriens)

Cowhage has long been popular for centuries throughout India. It has been used for many reasons, one of which, has been as a natural aphrodisiac.

Panax Ginseng

Panax has a very long history of being used to enhance sex, increase sexual desire, improve and increase libido, and as a general aphrodisiac.  Panax has been used to treat impotence, erectile dysfunction, and a lack of enthusiasm or pleasure in sexual activity.

Iboga (Tabernanthe iboga)

Cinnamon may be a commonly used cooking ingredient, spice and flavor, but it is also a powerful aphrodisiac.  Cinnamon is extremely effective in increasing libido and sexual appetite, as well as erectile dysfunction.

Koribo (Tanaecium nocturnum)

Mostly used in the Amazonian tribes of Brazil, Koribo has a strong presence in traditional folk medicine. Many Brazilian tribes and the Indians of Colombian Choco know and employ Koribo as an aphrodisiac.

Syrian Rue (Peganum harmala)

This plant is native to the Asia Minor and throughout India.  It has a lot of religious use today, and a strong history of being a sacred plant in cultures of the areas.  It is very popularly used as an natural aphrodisiac.

Hawaiian Wood Rose (Argyreia nervosa)

This special plant has a strong history of being used in religious and sacred ceremonies.  It is known throughout Nepal and spread to Hawaii (among other places, being cultivated around the world today). It has been used as a powerful aphrodisiac in ancient times, as well as today.

Galanga (Kaempferia galanga)

This Ginger-Family plant grows in tropical regions of Africa and Asia.  It has been well known to be used in New Guinea.  It smells wonderful and is frequently used as a spice.  More interestingly, the leaves can be brewed into a tea to act as an aphrodisiac.

Guarana (Paullinia cupana)
